Marshall Lubin-author and sailor, enjoying another beautiful day on the water in San Diego.
After growing up in Los Angeles, Ca, I circumnavigated the planet from age 17-19 in the mid 60’s. Planes, an inter-island copra boat, 56' ketch, and two ships.
I spent two years exploring South America, including the Amazon jungle, in the early 70’s.
Two more years traveling around Mexico, I then decided to settle down; I joined the Navy (not to see the world) where I worked at Seal Team One in Coronado, CA.
I was a practicing Chiropractor, in Carlsbad, CA, from 1985-2000. During those years I was a member of Hi-Noon Rotary in Carlsbad ascending to the Presidency in 1992-93.
I also served as President of the Carlsbad Education Foundation, the Vice-President of Community Resource Center board of directors (BOD) and was on the BOD of North County Hospice.
Currently, I volunteer time with Challenged America, a non-profit that provides therapeutic services for the handicapped, through sailing, on San Diego Bay.
Since retiring I have filled 3 years with writing a book about the first segment of my travels in the 60’s which resulted in: From Boys 2 Men, An Adventure in Paradise.
I am available to make presentations to clubs, organizations and book stores for book signings.
